Final Exam Topics
-
Topics to be covered on the Final Exam will include:
- Creating forms with JavaFX
- Event-driven programming and event handling
- Binary input and output files
-
For the Final Exam you will create a JavaFX form that will have two Buttons:
(1) the first linked to an event handler to write data from two TextFields
on the form to a
DataOutputStream
file; and (2) the other with
an event handler to read data from the same file as a DataInputStream
file and display that data in some format
(you might consider practicing for the exam by converting Project 11,
the 8-point assignment, into a JavaFX application; if you can complete
that "practice" project, you should be able to succeed on the test)
-
Of course it is necessary to understand all topics that preceeded this test
to complete the requirements of the Final Exam.
-
The exam will be open book which means the textbook (hard-copy or on-line),
Java on-line API documentation, and any printouts of lecture notes and sample
programs. You may not use any disks.
